negative... ALO (air liason officer) is the officer version of TACP. STO (special tactics officer) is officer version of CCT

JTAC's are similar to TACP but have more training and are more qualified... you have to be TACP first, then become a JTAC

I dont want to read 11 pages of shizz so I apologize if this is repeat but I went to tech school with CCT because Im ATC we have SOME of the same training..... I hate it, the school was hard, but I loved it then, now I wish I never took ATC just so I could leave, I wish I would have stuck with ammo or fuels or something fun. But ATC is only a small portion of what CCT trains for.

Not talked into, but (long story short) I got cancelled from my original EAD ship date until I have a tattoo removed, well I had it removed in one day and then they had to reassign me to a new job..... I was leaving out of AZ and had all of my stuff already in storage and was staying with a friend, so I needed to get out ASAP and ATC was the first job to surface.

Im not a desk and indoors type person. I was a mechanic for almost 7 years and I like to work, feel like I have a goal and reach it. Most (not all) of the people tha ti work with love to watch others fail, there is no support or commradery (sp) like I have experienced with other shops and career fields. Just the way some of them treat people and their lack of dedication. People are failing PT tests....we get released to do PT 3 times a week DURING duty hours and they just wont go..... something as stupid as a PT test, and they are just too lazy to actually do it. That is a chip off of the iceberg that is slackers!

Honestly the job could be a good one if you have a good atmosphere and you can tolerate being indoors all day. If it tells you anything, I enjoy weeds and seeds vs. being inside the tower....

Just finished up my 4 years and now getting out to go to school the new Post 9-11 GI Bill is to sweet to stay away from, but man honestly it all depends on the job you get, and what kind of person you are, i was a Crew Chief ( Aircraft Mech) and it was a good job very rewarding, but it was regular for us to work 2-3 hrs longer than our given shift, and basically just get shit on because the mission comes first, as maintainer and Security forces/Spec ops you would deploy more often than other Carrer fields which depending if you have a family or not can be a good thing, there normally a blast just depends if you can deal with being away from your familly for 4-12+ months. Hoped that helped and i would def recomend talking to someone who is in the carrer field that your going for
