I found a In-dash stereo kit on Amazon for $25.99 and a Jensen 6.5 in. multimedia reciever on ebay for $449.99. Is there like different size openings for different size monitors with that stereo kit? or do i have to get a specific size?

Sorry guys about all my talk (questions) and no work on my truck (builds):(. I just need to make sure i get the proper stuff before i just start throwing money out the window.

A link to the kit and headunit would help make sure you get the correct one. :D On a side note if that Jensen is the one I'm thinking it is I would personally not recommend it. I installed one a while back for a friends son and it had problem after problem until the screen just finally gave out. Upon research I found that it was a "generic" unit sold under MANY different names like Jensen, Dual etc etc and not of very good quality unfortunately (the local shop stopped carrying them due to all of the returns).

I meant a direct link to the kit on Amazon and the headunit on ebay so I could see which ones you were looking at. :)

That's not the exact one I was thinking of but my bet would be it has some "generic cousins" as well. Also, there was no info for the kit but that one appears to be universal so it can be used for double din or single din with the pocket (or you could just get the double din one at the bottom of that page)

I'd agree the Alpine is a MUCH better option. :)

If it says double din, then that is a standard size. they may have slightly different screen sizes, but the size of the unit itself is the same.
A lot of people overlook them, but JVC is putting out some good quality stuff these days. They tend to be a bit cheaper than some of the others. Do some research, theres a lot of options man.

Yeah i know. i think JVC is better than Sony. Sony sucks to me. Ok thank you for clearing this up for me, Kenwood, Pioneer and now JVC units are my options :D

Toytec ultimate lift kit, light racing UCAs, ARB bumper and full skid plates underneath. Looking into redoing the suspension and maybe repainting the ol' Taco.
I have a Pioneer that I am really liking. I purchased everything thorugh Amazon and all in spent about $750. That is for the DVD player, dash kit, a steering wheel remote adapter (that doesn't work sadly) and a set of Pioneer 6.5" component speakers that MrMarv recommended.
