Apparently the power may be out 4-5 days.
Wow. Jackass just knocked on my door and woke me and sammie up. Wants to know about gas stations. Wants to fill his coolant using my hose. Tell him id rather he didn't. He pleads a little, I say fine, go inside, sit and wait til he leaves. Steals my hose!

Little does the sack of shit know that a) I had a loaded handgun in addition to the barking dog and b) the orange hose leaks anyway

    But still.

Well powers out and I'm 90% certain I got canvassed for a robbery just now, so not so hot!

Could be much worse though, I personally took no storm damage. I haven't been out since the storms were hitting, but I think the whole area took a beating.

Wow. Grab the weapons man. I know her dad is ok but if all the hoods are out looting it sounds like the worst is far from over. Good luck man and keep your eyes peeled.

I actually have a jeep now. Imagine that.
if any of you guys don't feel safe and need something to keep at your house. Let me know. if i'm coming up, i can bring you something. To be honest, I keep bear mace right next to my couch. It may sound funny, but I saw my dad use it once...I think i'd rather take the risk of being shot.

I hope everyone out there is ok. We got really lucky where I live in Winfield. It barely even rained. But there was damage all around us. Praying for those in the hard hit areas.

Guys...if your on Facebook go to the Toomer's for Tuscaloosa's page and like it. They are setting up relief efforts and going down to Tuscaloosa to help clean. Bring bottled water and food.

Thoughts and prayers to people all over the state, especially the hardest hit areas like Tuscaloosa and Pleasant Grove.

If you haven't already seen it, this is the best video of the Tuscaloosa tornado I've seen. Scary as hell...

I hope we can show the rest of the U.S. how us backwoods, country bumpkin southerners can take care of our own and set the example. Though I sure regret not being home to lend a helping hand. It's all over the news here in Baghdad and a whole lot of folks here feel the same. Hope everyone is alright.

Prayers to everyone who was hit. I was running the ARES net on the Birmingham 146.880 ham radio repeater last night from 6-7pm. It was gut wrenching the reports that were coming in. Glad to hear everyone who has posted up has been fine for the most part.

Is that at Crimson Place? I have some friends who live there, it's on the corner of Mcfarland and 13th. They only had some windows broken but they sent me some pics and it looks like a bomb went off across the street. Hope everyone stayed safe.

Damn dude! Thats amazing! Glad you're ok! I was down in the basement last night here at work and that is the only access to the outside world.. I hate some much what has happened but i hope this brings people closer and show the world that we are self sufficient! All the reports of random people stopping on the side of the road helping every one! Law enforcement no where in sight just people doing what they feel is right! That's the southern way! Prayers go out to the families who lost and i just hope that people still do the right thing and help thy neighbor in need! To all the looters and crooks.. Come on over! I got plenty of ammo and land!

On another note.. I'm seeing a bunch of posts from people who live close and haven't said they are coming to the meet! We are having a meet in Huntsville in 2 weeks! Post up in the meet thread! Let us know!

thinking about skipping the local ECORS race tomorrow and Saturday and driving to TSCLSA to lend a helping hand. I'm giving blood tomorrow. Anybody else down to help on a whim?
