So, I'm sitting here, drinking vodka, listening to some good ol' Robert Earl Keen (Texas singer/songwriter). The song "The Road Goes On Forever (and the party never ends)" to me is the greatest story told by song ever and I was wondering what everyone else's favorite is...

    List 'em!

    Good call on both!

Absolutely! That's my second favorite song by REK! Was actually listening to that song just before I got to "Road Goes On Forever"... From the "No. 2 Live Diner" album... :) Who can argue with anyone that can weave in Diet Rite, tampons and Salem Lights in the same song, much less the same line!!! Oh and who can forget the "can of fake snow"... :D

Age doesn't matter. If you're around when a song is released, you understand the context of the times in which it was released. But as long as you discover it, like it and appreciate it, that's all that matters!
