Brake warning light on and off.

recently my brake light warning on the cluster turns on and off for no reason even when my e brake is not engaged.

I'm planning to replace my brakes soon. could that be the problem.

anyone here can recommend me a good site to order my brake system from online?

Well, I would have to say it's "his" way of saying..... Brake System. Sounded pretty understandable to me.

what i meant is parts like drums, disks, pads, shoes. where do you all buy your parts from?

I just get my stuff at kragen, tried dealership pads for awhile, they worked the same as aftermarket so i just went cheap

 

Check your ebrake handle (pull). Sometimes the ebrake cable can get too much slack in it and cause the light to come on. When you pull the ebrake handle - you're supposed to get 12-18 clicks. If you get a lot more than that, the cable needs adjusted.

However - since you're changing the rear brake shoes anyway, don't adjust the ebrake cable until AFTER you put new shoes on.

You might not need to adjust the cable after you put new shoes on.

well im a honda mechanic and usually they have a brake switch under the brake pedal bar , not to sure about the tacoma i havent looked under my pedal
