What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Hmmm,
Went to the junkyard today and picked up a map light assy from a 4runner.
Cut the holes, installed new lamps, plugged it in and now I cant see.
Its so damn bright, I'm blinded when I turn them on!

 

Today I installed a set of 16x8 Helo 842 wheels with BFG AT 265-75-16 tires. Need to level it out in the spring.

Installed new toolbox and built custom ipod dock.

 

This is it...

It was a big deal to me, its twice as bright as the original light assy.
I kept the hardware from the 4 runner, it helped to install it in mine.
My original was a single bulb in the middle of the mirror mount.
I removed my mirror, (3 machine screws) and disconnected the plug.
I felt the cutouts in my headliner, and cut out the boxes that the new lamps sit in. Feeling behind the headliner I found the other screw holes.
The plug was the same, it fit perfectly. The two middle screw holes took the machine screws that held the old mirror, the two outer screw holes used the sheet metal screws that came out of the 4 runner. Then I put in two new bulbs and snapped the cover back on.
Then I saw that my mirror was nicer than the one from the 4Rnnr, so I swapped it over to the new lamp assy. I had to take it all apart again.
My Radar detector id also powered off of the int light power, so i had to reposition my ground on a different screw.
Whew!

 

Installed my Weathertech liners and 9" billet antenna (xmas presents).

 

Put another 1200 miles on my truck over the last two days driving back from Texas to Minnesota. Man, I'm glad I'm home for now!

 

I installed my 2nd hid light installed cb radio with pa speaker. Touched up my bumper.

 

Also hooked up my subs, amps, replaced my door speakers and ran new speaker wire. It's not working properly yet (have troubleshooting to do) and I have to do A LOT of wire cleanup on the amp rack, but it's installed and sound comes out!

Today I drove thru a huge HUGE pile of dog shit and splattered it all over the driver side, I gagged, and then gagged some more it was 10xs worse than the gagging scene from 4 christmas's

 

ROFL!! That sucks!!

 

I can't say I did all of this today but over the past few days I've been able to install some Christmas presents. First I got my Scanguage II installed and I've been really pleased with it and I was able to diagnose my Dad's Chevy Tahoe with it and get his check engine light to disappear. Then I was able to mount up my Hella 500 fog lights that I got. They were pretty easy to install but I had to get longer bolts to mount them up. Installed some 9 led red bulbs in the map lights and dome light. And last but not least I changed the oil and oil filter today Mobil 1 and Fram oil filter.

 

Got a bunch of little stuff done today that ive been meening to do.
