    6/2(1+2)

    6/2(3)

    3(3)

    9

an extra set of brackets, or interpreting " / " as over instead of divided by, would (obviously) change the result

    6/(2(1+2))

    6/(2(3))

    6/(6)

    1

At first I thought it was 9, 6 div 2, times 1 plus 2 equals 9. Then I thought no, mult before div, so 6, div by 2 times 3 equals 6, so 6 div 6 equals 1. I then read that in order of operations mult and div get read left to right and are in the same heirarchy, so my original answer of 9 would be correct.

I say nine, and that no one is stupid for either answer, i was taught PPMDAS please please my dear aunt sue for powers parentheses multiplication division addition subtraction, not only is that order wrong, multiplication and division are equalites as are addition and subtraction and should be read from left to right. Well thanks TW, you made me relearn something.

Answer could be argued either way. But the expression lends itself more to a fraction than a straight equation: 6 over 2 times 3 = 1.
