Holy Shit, don't tell me that's a '69 Camaro covered in the garage too? Dang, TWO dream vehicles...you rock!

Ha ha ...thanks guys. There's a lot of blood, sweat, and tears represented between those two vehicles. I bought the Camaro back in 1996 as a project...all original but wrecked. Took a few years to take it all apart and get it all back together and have been enjoying it since. The Tacoma will never be done!! :D

Nevermind...just read the last of the thread and saw the pics...OMG! Original? That's just too crazy.

'67 Camaro was my first car! Kind of a beatup one, but it got me goin' Then I got a decent '69 when I was 17 and played around (serious trouble) in that for a few years 'till I got my first toy p-u at 20 yrs old. Never really got over that '69 and have loved them ever since (same w/toy p-u's). I could recognize that rear-end covered or not. What a beauty! Congratulations to two jobs well done.

What else are you hiding? LOL

Similar story for me...grew up a Firebird guy but restored my first Camaro back in 1989 and have been in love ever since. I looked for a looonnnngggg time for a big-block 4-speed car and finally found one tucked in a barn just up the road in Maine back in '96.

This is my first Tacoma (first Toyota for that matter) and I will say that this is one of my favorite vehicles I've ever owned. I'm not sure exactly what it is but there's just something about this thing that makes me want to glance at it over my shoulder after I'm walking away from parking it. I just really dig it! :taco:

Any mods to mine will be SLOW...relish the stockness for a bit , 'ya know. Oh yeah, and there's that cost thing involved too. :(

Believe me...I know. Mine was stock for a long time and I just started chipping away at it. Razor's truck was my background on my computer for a long time and I used it as inspiration for what I was hoping mine would be. Mine is getting there...it's a long, time consuming, and costly process. :D

Thanks Bradley! Yes, I did paint my wheels. Take your time, scuff the hell outta them, and they will come out good. Mine are holding up well. I had to repaint my center caps because I didn't prep them as well as I did the wheels. All-in-all, for about $20.00, you can't beat it!

    Very nice Mods !
What brand are your slider/steps ? Are the weld/on or bolted?
    Thanks for the info...

I live up in Seatte, we don't have much snow, but we have had 191 days without the temp reaching 70 degrees. Nov 3rd 2010 was the last day we had 70 or above !!

    take care,
    Perry

Thanks guys! It definitely makes a difference putting the hours in making something out of a stock vehicle. I love my truck and am proud of where it's at so far!

Looked at that hill all weekend and did some measurements and figured I could make it without tearing my steps off. Made it! :)

Where did you have to trim for the tires to fit? I am looking to do the same setup.
