Troubles starting engine, CEL. Please help!!!

Alright guys, so as some of you know I was in a soft roll-over (7 days after I bought my truck), and I just got it back from the body shop today. When I went to start it at the shop, the CEL was on and it wouldn't turn over. I tried 6 times and nothing. Finally, I get the Tech, he comes out and floors it and it finally turns over and the CEL goes off. Now I can start it and it runs and drives just fine, but I feel like it should idle higher when it initially turns over. I've only owned the truck for 7 days, so I'm not sure what is "normal" when starting it, so I need a fellow 1st gen owner. And, it drove and started PERFECTLY before I took it in to the body shop.

I thought that usually when it first turns over, the RPM's go up to at least 2,000. When I start it now, they just kinda "waltz" up to 1,000 and there isn't the usual loud growl when it revvs. So please, watch this video and tell me if I need to have it checked out.

TL;RD: Is is starting normal in this video or do I need to have someone check it (RPM's don't go up very high when turns over).

They didn't do anything mechanical. They replaced the door and right fender, bumper and did paint work on bed. He said the battery might have been low, and thats what might have caused it to not turn over. But why would the CEL come on? And he didn't pull the code because as soon as we started it, the CEL went away.

 

I'm not sure. Lemme go check (it's snowing now...).

And I think I'm gonna take it into my Yota tech here in the next week or so... Insurance will prob cover it since it's most likely accident related. I'm thinking of running to Advanced Automotive and having them check the battery and see if they can run a CEL code check. Thanks for your help.

 

If it was tipped on it's side or over it could have just been flooded out. If you can find somewhere to scan it and see the history, it might not hurt.

 

Alright so I just went outside and started it, and it revved up to about 1,500 RPM. Then I turned if off and tried to start it again, and it wouldn't start. It would try to turn over for about 5 seconds, and finally started after I floored the damn thing about 5 times. Looks like she'll be headed to the shop again. Dammit. Thanks for your help though.

 

Yeah that might be it. But I think they might have wired some electrical wrong, because when I have the overhead light set to "door", the light turns on when I open the doors then stays on as if it was set to "on". So I think I'm going to go in a bitch and make them check the electrical. Might be a bug in there somewhere.
