They are brackets I made. They wrap around the rack bar and then come up. You might be able to zoom in and see a little better.

Thanks everyone. It's definitely a trip that everyone should take once in their life. The scenery is amazing and so is the off roading. We had to cut our vacation short since my rear axle is acting up but I've uploaded our photos. There will be more pictures once everyone else that took photos uploads them.

Here's the link to the pictures.

It actually wasn't the axle. It was a u joint that was beginning to seize up. I checked all the u joints before I went on the trip and they all appeared to be fine and I lubed them all. One of the caps was overheated/worked and caused the problems. I think the passage to one of the caps got blocked by something and I didn't get any grease to it. I usually grease my zerks everything 2.5k miles.

On a side note, there should be more pictures when the other members upload their photos. I didn't really take many pictures on the harder obstacles since I was driving.

I thought for sure you smacked the pinion and crushed that sleeve in there. Glad it was an easy fix, cool pictures!

Not yet. I'm still on vacation. We had to cut the road trip short a week so we're going to spend the rest of this week in Vegas. I'll get back to you next week about the flares.

Haha. We typically like to be as far away from people as we can when we go camping. I like peace and quiet so we try to find somewhere where there aren't many people. The two nights that we camped in Moab we had the place to our selves. We only stayed at one state park on the trip and that was because we stopped driving around 11pm and didn't feel like looking for a remote area.

Hey man how do you like that ARB awning? Is that the 1250? I was thinking about getting one for camping, tailgating ect. Let me know! Thanks!

Sweet rig btw, one of my favorites on the site :D

    Thank you.

It's the shorter 4ft one. I actually found it more annoying than anything. You have to reposition the truck (if you want the shade) any time the sun moves. If it's raining at an angle then the awning becomes kind of useless. Personally, I would just get a foldaway awning. That way you can move it instead of moving the truck and you'd have more cover. You could also get one with misquote nets if that's your thing. In my opinion it's just expedition "bling" that you could do without. Some might disagree but that's how I view it.

Here's how my truck sits today. This is my daily driver set up. It has 18x8 Volk TE37 wheels with 265/60R18 Hankook ATM tires (great tires so far). I gained 3 mpg by switching back to stock sized tires. I still have my 35's and bead locks that I throw on when I'm going off roading. My Volks and tires weigh 64lbs each and my 35" MTRs with bead locks weigh 114lbs each. I must say I love the power with the 31's and 4.56 gears.

This is from camping this weekend. I wasn't expecting mud so I didn't put the bigger tires on but I still got around fairly easy.
