I've been an Oiler fan since I was a very young kid, and they were in the WHA. No bandwagon jumping for me. I'm a fan in the good times and the bad.

And I'll never cheer for the 'nuks. There fans are THE most insufferable group of people. They love their team when they win, but they hate them badly - and want to crucify them when they lose. Bandwagoners thru and thru.

If Lord Stanley is to make the trip back North, I do not want it in the hands of the 'nuks.

Sorry guys. I'm a pretty big hockey fan, and I have some pretty intense rivalries. I know that some folks that 'become' hockey fans at playoff time can simply cheer for "_______" team, just because it makes them feel patriotic. But I can't shut those rivalries off. No way.

 

Really ? I beg to differ. I get it hockey is big in Canada, but that's a false statement. Just sayin

and if there was no Canadian team,I guess it'd have to be Boston

I will admit though, i haven't seen hockey spirit as much as I had in Toronto, Canada when I visited the Hall of Fame a while back. Every advertisement was about hockey, hockey stores everywhere, hockey was everything. I wish it was like that in LA, but its about as far from that as possible

And just so ya know......there's 14 Canadians on the 'nuks roster - and 14 Canadian's on the Preds roster. Hawks had even more Canadians. Just say'n.

Agreed. Just because its not our national sport like it is in canada.
I am a through and through hockey fan, it was not engraved in me at a young age, but i would much rather watch or play a hockey game than garbage baseball, the so called America's game.

 

I used to support the Oilers as well , until Kevin Lowe gutted the team .

 

You are a facts man, what do you say to that OZ, some foreigners bring the the cup to the nucks, that won't count it seems as far as you are concerned.

 

It doesn't matter to me .

I support the Canucks because I live in BC .

They play as a team , their nationalities only matter in the Olympics .
