Sweet, im bringing my big cooler. I should have all my skid plates in and on, so i wont have to worry much about banging stuff on rocks. Just have to look under there and see where my vital parts really are.

I'm gonna have to do something. I learned really quickly that the transmission cross member and exhaust crossover are the two serious week spots for clearance.

I really wish the buddy of mine wasn't in el paso right now. He's a master fabricator. He keeps giving me shit for want to buy a avid bar. He keeps saying he could build the same thing for half the price in a afternoon... I sure could use some skid plates!

Damn right! Radio back if the rest of use can make it :D

Speaking of which, is everyone planning on using CB's? If so, I'll need to get one.

Im cool with doing it first anyways :D I dont have a CB but i heard you can buy a little hand held that will work for our needs. I have a tranny skid and ifs skid. I may look underneath and see what it would take to weld a plate to protect the exhaust crossover. That thing was put in a shitty spot.

It is the weakest spot. The cross member is pretty stout. I hung up on it a few times and it only has some minor scratches.

The exhaust on the other hand has some pretty decent dents. I'm actually kinda worried that it might slightly effect back pressure on the drivers side of the engine.

I was thinking about starting a thread about it. Some dude did the other day, but the shop did a really shitty job of it. I think he had them route it behind the transfer case (below the u-joint).

I'm not really sure I want that heat hitting my u-joint though. In all actuality it could be raised up right where it is about a inch. It would just be really close to its heat shield.

I'm half tempted to get one of my old ham radios and just modify it to cover the CB band... Then I would be transmitting 100 watts right out of the radio .

Then again I could get some serious fines from the fcc.

And fry the receiver of anybody sitting next to me :D

The sad part about today was, I spent more at the car wash trying to get all the mud off then I did in gas...

The red dirt out there is some serious shit.
