    I could use some help, first time on the site. I need some ideals for basic performance mods. Its a 3.4 and i tow my boat long distances, the motor is hanging on the engine stand so now whould be a good time make some changes. any help would be appre.

    pretty much what he said^ you can get a CAI and exhaust but honestly they wont do anything noticeable
    edit: if its lifted you could regear it which would make a big difference

    As everyone else said, there aren't very many power adders for this engine. Other than basic bolt-ons like an exhaust, headers, and a cold air intake, your stuck with this engine unless you want to drop the $5,000 for a supercharger, install, tune, 7th injector, and what not.

    thanks for the information it is appreciated. however i have another question? I am rebuilding the motor now and i don't know of any trusted parts vendors out there. any suggestion whould be great.

    I am replacing pistions, heads(there warped) and fuel injectors, oil pump, water pump and what ever else need replaced.
