Where is a good place to pick up one of those short, black rubber-type of aftermarket antennas?

You might ask jhodge83, seems like he has one. He may be able to post a pic or at least tell you how they look.

Ive seen some of the "checker auto" ones, they are crappy. I saw one an a lifted Tacoma in a parking lot the other day that looked pretty cool.

If you find a good one let us know how it turns out. I have been thinking about doing that to mine too. Every time I back out of the garage, it rubs against the wood.

Call me cheap, but I sawed mine off to about roof height and glued the top knob off a vhf radio antenna on mine. Looks good and couldn't tell any difference in radio reception.

I just purchased this one from recommendations in the audio forum. I used the above seller. I just received it today, it shipped really fast. Haven't tried reception yet, but it looks much better.

you guys are gunna crack up from this one...a couple nights ago me and a couple buddies had a little bonfire in the backyard and i was hungry, so of course i grabbed my marshmallows. problem was i couldnt find anything to cook them with, so me and my genius self remembered my unused stock antenna in the storage under my half-back-seat in my accesscab. i took the antenna off the day i bought it and havent touched it since because the huge ones look so gawdy to me, but the point is i used my stock antenna to cook marshmallows all night and thats the only time i've ever used it haha:cool:
