Hey guys, just wanted to say thanks for the trip. And special thanks to my "tow"-er, Jerry. Never sledded on the snow behind another vehicle...not even in a Taco before.:D I don't know about anyone else, but I'm actually pretty tired after all that running back and forth on the snow and all the digging!

And Kevin, if you want us to pitch in for a replacement tow strap, I'm in. If you have a PayPal account, just let me know. I assume too that you talked to those other guys as we were leaving about it? Maybe they'll bring it back up for you? If they do, and you need to find a way to get it back to you, don't forget I live up here and go down to Sac a couple of days each week. I'd be happy to transfer it to you if they retrieve it.

Only pic I took is below (at least, the only one that came out on my daughter's crappy camera). Looking forward to seeing Jerry's video!

Looks like seth's FJ was one of the more capable rigs since he's shown as recovery rig in those?
Probably the extra clearance of 35's?

I'd be right there with everyone in my own truck if I had 4x4. But unfortunately not :(

I wish but there's no point when I'll be with Kevin anyways. I think we should all take a day trip to Hollister or Cow Mountain so I can actually bring it for once.

It was more of a ground clearance problem than anything, but the better tires and lockers helped a lot to not get into a situation. The snow was soooo slushy. we kept just getting high centered on the snow if we got any wheel spin at all. we spent a lot of the day doing recovery.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
Cool pics guys I'll have mine up tonight or tomorrow. Thanks to everyone on our recovery training day it went off without a hitch we managed to get 2 stock Tacoma's through 4' of packed snow with minimal effort. Steven I see tires it your future ;) for a first timer in the snow you did pretty well.

Yesterday sure got my itch up to do some real wheelin I need to hit some rocks ASAP :D

I was thinking about it last night, and I regret not trying to drive out that last stretch with my left tires in the center berm and the right tires in fresh snow (straddling the right tire track). After all, I made it through it just fine on the way out and we only got stuck due to being high centered. I think it would have been worth a shot to try. Maybe next year.

And thanks to Steven, I now know what the rev limiter sounds like.[IMG]
