So I got hit by somebody about a week and a half ago, and havent had the time to post something about it. This guy started to change lanes when I was right next to him, so my entire drivers side is damaged. I wont have my taco for 2 to 3 weeks, but there are some bright sides to this whole thing.

    1. I get my dads TRD sport dc for the time being, and he just got a new dvd player in it:D
    2. I get the dents that were already in there fixed, and a new set of wheels because they dont make mine anymore:D

But I was wondering, should I take the time to make my truck better or should I buy a bigger Taco once I get it back?

Hopefully they total that for you, take the check and put a down payment on an access cab, or a double cab if you need that much more room.

Id rather have a double cab, but I like access cabs as well. Its not gonna be totaled, but I was wondering also if it would be better to buy something new and make payments, or buy used?

buy used and make payments if possible, save yourself a LOT of money! Just make sure you take a good look at it. If you can get a 07 at a reasonable price I would do that, but 06's are nice. The only reason I say that is because some of the 05's have had motor mount problems, yadda yadda yadda, and im one of them and dont want someone else to have that problem, $10,000 dollar one.

Ive got an 05 right now, and id prefer an 07 out of any year. Besides the 09 in magnetic gray. Im kinda leaning that way too, because I want to do all the mods myself. It makes me feel like its more of my truck because I did all the work.

I would go with a bigger Tacoma as well! Now on the new or used part, that's up to you. Depends on how deep your wallet is!;) Even if you get an 06' or 07', Tacoma's are Tacoma's and they rock!!!

Thats true. I want the 4.0 bad though. I drive my dads truck, then I get in mine and it feels like nothing. But the color would have to be White or Magnetic Gray

If you decide to get another, I would go new. There isn't that much of a difference between new and used prices. Tacoma's hold their value very well.

Look on autotrader, HUGE difference in price. IMO. Also depends on if you got good credit or what, hard to get a car loan nowadays!

^Then you need to stick with what you have. I didn't realize you weren't 18 yet. You don't need a car payment at that age. Get yourself through college driving that same '05 and THEN get the vehicle you want. I did the "car payment while in college" program and it's no fun.
