If adding caster via the LCA, it will move the tire forward towards the front of the vehicle.

I keep getting different opinions on this but I'm about positive.

That is correct. I thought you were going to adjust the UCA's

I usually just take mine to Les Schwab. You should try Ayers in Sparks. They are suppose to be pretty knowledgeable.

I've got an appt with Les Schwab on Kietzke tomorrow, a few people suggested Fulbeck 4WD as well. I'll look into Ayers for future stuff though.

There is a guy on reno4x4 that works at one of the Les Schwabs I thought it was the South Virginia one. Did you ask around on there?

Asked to talk to the tech before he started work on my truck today at Les Schwab. Guy was really cool and understood exactly what I wanted. He came and got me about 20 minutes later and brought me down to the rack. He had it maxed out at 2.8 caster 0 camber and 0 toe. We talked a bit about the LR UCAs and he said bring it back if I decided to change the position of the ball joints and they would do it free if it was within the 30 days.

Excellent experience and only cost 56$. :D

Edit: Also it turns out my numbers either changed in a 3 months or Big 0 sucked, my toe was like 2.8, Jeremy got it perfect though.

Haven't had a chance to flex it out yet so I don't know if it cured my rubbing woes or not. Caster was at 2.0 before though so we'll see.

Also found the guy that you said works there Robert... He offered to have me come to his but I'd already visited the other store so...

Well at least you got it to what you wanted. I knew someone on the forum worked there. If it keeps giving you problems maybe take it to him.

Hmmmm I went out tonight on Peavine and tried to stuff my fronts. I tried everything and couldn't get it to stuff to the bump stop. I'm still rubbing though, also realized I rub the frame at full lock but that's not a big deal.

Rubbing about the same spot, didn't seem very bad but couldn't get it to stuff that hard.

Put the truck on jack stands and remove the front shocks and cycle the suspension. You'll find(at least I did with 33's and stock bs) that the most rub isn't at full compression, full lock but full compression and about half lock. Anyways you can put a jack under the lca, cycle the suspension, turn the wheel and hack and pound away.

This is what I did. I had severe rub that can't be fixed by cutting, unless I intend to tub it.

I'll get it figured out :)

Pioneer Double Din with BT, iPod, etc. Boston Acoustic components in all 4 doors with a Sony amp, powered 8" sub. Ultra gauge, Tom Tom...

Is the rubbing something that will hinder functional wheeling? Will it do damage to the body or tires, or is it something you can live with? I think every truck I've built has had a little contact somewhere during the cycle of the suspension, but most of it I could live with. If I start cutting my tires up, that gets expensive. At that point I do what I can to remedy it.

Can't wait to see it do some real wheeling, good luck with the clearancing!!:)

Well when I pulled the shocks I had the LCA almost touching the bumps and I was stuffed into the rear fenderwell but it wasn't THAT bad... and it was only when I was turned pretty sharp. I think I'm gonna rotate the ball joint back one degree of caster (from +2*) and see if I can't get a top plate. It's pretty hard to stuff the fronts on these things anyway. I think the only time I ever really stuffed them was at Moab. I think I can live with the rub, I don't think it will eat up my tires, as it's pretty smooth after I smashed it with the hammer. "Shitlbuffout" is on my back window for a reason right!? :D

Hopefully Sunday I get to do some real wheeling. Should have my rear bumper on by then too! Thanks!

Hopefully Josh shows up tomorrow with it. I'll paint it and then get to cutting. I'll give you a call.

I misunderstood, I thought you went to test it off road and stuff it but you couldn't get it all the way compressed not because of rubbing though.
