Pics Or It Didn't Happen!

Lets **Avoid** any sort of **Political Discussion** on the matter and should be reminded that political threads are banned.

With that being said, I'm not sure why there is debate as to whether or not gruesome pictures of osama are to be released. Seems to me there has been a standard practice of releasing half blown up bodies of our terrorist enemies, so it leads me to wonder what is going through the minds of the men and women in our (US) government.

Now for me personally, you can ask any of my friends, what is the first thing I say when they do something. Pics or it didnt happen. In fact, I'm fairly certain that "pics or it didnt happen" is probably one of the most common things said on the internet these days. I think the US government should be no exception to this rule, so I say to the presidents having been involved with trying to capture osama.

Clinton, Bush, Obama, if you want us to believe you killed our number 1 enemy.

I personally would like to see them, after all the shit of the last 10 years I think we are owed that in the very least. Kind of some closure I guess.

 

Who really cares? Seriously?As long as our military keeps giving extremists dirt naps it is all good.

 

It's a double edges sword. If they are released Terrorist will surely use them as rally posters or something of the sort. Or blame us for miss treatment. Which will bring a shit storm the the U.S. door step.
But I think they should be released to show. But I am 100% certain he is dead or captured either way. If he was a live I know he wouldn't sit idly by and watch he will let the world know.

 

You want to know how it did happen? Osama would release video of him being alive if it didn't. This is not a "Hoax".

 

Bottom line is obama is not going to go on national tv and address the world about something this important right before an election year if it isn't true. it would be career suicide for him and the way he has been bungling everything else and actually doing more of the same old crap the last three presidents did, after preaching all that snake oil change crap, he needs all the support he can get.

How do you know he wasn't "buried at sea" so they could torture him for info until he really died? Lots of stuff happens out there in indian country nobody gets to see.

 

I get what you're saying, but what I'm saying is we have had precedent over the past 10 years of there being kill photos of lead terrorists. I'm just urging the government to stick with the program and grant our citizens the evidence of victory that we deserve. of course the war on terror will continue, half the muslim world is now protesting osamas departure, the point still stands, we need pics.

 

They videoed the body and the burial at sea and are debating the release of it. Do we deserve to see it so some muslim extremists can snap and start killing our innocent civilians abroad? Do we really deserve to see it? I mean what difference in our lives will it make to see it? I think they should privately share it with every family of 9/11 victims and troops killed or injured in the war on terror.... the rest of us should just shut up about it or get our asses down to a recruiting station.

 

If we dont release it for fear of making extremists snap, then we have no confidence in our security, our military, and our way of life. The pictures and burial should be posted for the whole world to see, we've all lost people due to the wars started by that asshat. there were 2 in my graduating class dead in iraq and afghanistan before graduation even took place. I would argue the very last thing we should do is shut the hell up or enlist.. just because we want to see proof that he's dead

there is word spreading that islamic scholars are saying osamas burial at sea is in violation of islam and it may provoke further attack. We can't stop terrorism with anything we do or dont do at this point.

 

My initial thought was that we should be dragging his mutilated body through the streets of New York behind a Humvee...Probably why I'm not in charge. I agree with not basing our actions and decisions on the possible reactions of extremists. By definition their responses can't be predicted and living in constant fear of upsetting a population isn't exactly productive or conducive to our nations overall security.

I assure you, I would have rather seen his head on a stake in kabul and his extremities cut off and sent to all corners of the world as a warning to radical islam, but I am not going to lose sleep over not seeing his photos or complain about it. If he is not dead, Obama just committed political suicide. If he is dead, good riddance. Win win as far as I am concerned.
