nope.. its just the reflection. The only think about my reflectors is the passenger side one is the yellowish oem one.. and the drivers side is the clear aftermarket one... but whatever

 

Now do they look the same

 

I need to change my pants and possibly a cig even though I don't smoke

 

Good decision! I think the bowl looks better black than chrome. Looks awesome!

Figured I would do something a little bit different. Wasn't to big on putting the big "Retrofit Source" sticker on the truck. After all...technically this is "illegal".

doing a BHLM at the same time as a retro and have a q:

When I remove the turn signal plastic cover do I paint that bowl ( the small one that houses the signal bulb)?
Won't that have a large effect since it's a bulb?

 

It's entirely your choice, a lot of people paint the whole thing.
Yes it does effect the output of the bulb dramatically.

That's why I taped it off and left the inside chrome.

Also if you notice I left the parking lights chrome as well

 

i think if you want your turn signal/dtrl to be blacked out you should tint the lens and leave the inside chrome

 

The First time i did a BHLM i tinted my turn signal/dtrl with VHT.. This time i just painted behind the signal (Chrome reflective bowl) Both have the same light output. I almost want to say that the VHT let less light though but i did put two coats.

So this time you painted the turn signal housing silver? Nice i plan to do the same with the parking light housing. Is it color coded or just generic silver?
