U.S. in a short paragraph

Hey guys. Obviously Im from Canada, and while I like living here and traviling here, I am starting the REALLY think about going on a few long trips down to the states. Mostly because Im super interested in just seeing how the whole country is. I always figured it was just the same as up here, but now after meeting some people I see theres places that are actually really "country like" "big city like" and other stuff. I have never gone anywhere so Im wondering is someone could just explain how the different parts of the states are like in a fast little paragraph I guess? Whats California really like? Florida? Texas? Most places I will admit I didnt even know where in the U.S. they were located (just didnt pay attention in school much). Where would be sweet places to see different cultures?

 

Pennsylvania:
You have everything from big cities (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia), awesome hiking/biking/hunting/skiing in the Appalachian Mountains, Fishing in the Susquehanna/Juniata Rivers, Amish Country in Lancaster County, and some rich Civil War history in Gettysburg...PA is a pretty kick ass state

You gotta see Seneca Rocks in WV. It is the prettiest place on earth. I love my state.

 

Fl, is nice. Depends were you are orlando is nice tampa (were I live) is nice bush gardens, adventure islands beaches pretty close (40 minutes) Its hard to tell you all about it. I guess if you have any questions ill try to answer them lol. Over all nice place! Some crowded parts and then some open country parts. BTW we are the bottome right state that looks like a gun

Yep got one already. Had a trip planned last year that fell through.
All that stuff sounds insane too. Im thinking about 3 different trip next year. One to a place like there, one a drive down to Florida and see everywhere in between like Boston/NY etc, and once to the west. I feel like Im missing a whole world out there to be honest. Weird feeling to explain. I see these pictures of palm trees (didnt realize how sweet that would be to see), west coast people, pictures of people just chilling and actually offroading with their tacomas (nowhere close here). Makes me think wtf im doing stuck in the same place my whole life

 

Come visit FL, post in the FL section when you coming im sure people would like to show you around.

 

California:

Don't bother... The only thing going for us is the weather.

 

Come to Utah, there are a bunch of national parks here:
Arches National Park
Bryce Canyon National Park
Canyonlands National Park
Capitol Reef National Park
Zion National Park
Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park

Plus, if you want to wheel Moab is here.

 

Kansas: Windy and Flat, with cows and wheat. There, you've seen it.

 

North Carolina:

He's lying. It's a great place. People from California team up and tell everyone its an awful place so no more people move there

 

Sounds like you should just start planning an overland trip. There are soooo many beautiful places to go in the U.S.!

I grew up outside of Portland, OR, so I would reccomend going there (See Mt. Hood, etc.) but I also like Yellowstone, Montana, Colorado, Northern NM, and Idaho. All beautiful mountains that you are sure to be able to go offroad somewhere (minus maybe Yellowstone National Park itself).

Zion is my favorite place in this country. A MUST SEE - like Yellowstone or Devils Tower.

 

Iowa: Corn, corn, corn, beans, corn and some more corn. There is nothing really here in des moines.

 

Florida sucks, don't come here unless you want to see a bunch of people from up north that don't know how to drive, and you wanna drip with sweat after 30 secs when you step out into the 95% humidity, 95 deg weather, or you really love fishing.
