Just took my 1911 to the gunsmith for a trigger job and all around tune up. I am having them polish the feed ramp because my hallow points keep jamming so hopefully it will be better when i get it back.

Also has anyone changed out their trigger? I would like to swap mine out for one of the 3 hole ones....

I've never replaced a trigger, but next time your at the range ask around. Primarily the older guys, they might hook you up. Thats how I got my feed ramp polished.

Anyone got any of the new 2011 Colts with the 100 year markings?

They range from gaudy (ech) to not so gaudy, to unchanged with just "100 years of service" on the rollmark.

Top is a Springfield GI I built up a few months ago. Bottom is a new Lightweight Operator that's slowly getting some tweaks.

It's just new to me. Bought it a couple of weeks ago.

Springfields have had a few "Operator" variants, though, under different trim levels:
    - Full rail TRP
    - Full rail Mil-Spec
    - Partial rail TRP
    - Partial rail MC Operator (MC=Marine Corp, green Armory Coated steel frame)
    - Partial rail Lightweight Operator (aluminum frame)

And I'm sure some others I've forgotten.

Many have come and many have gone. Here's the 1911s I won't let go. Ever.

    Top to Bottom:

GSG 1911 .22LR (always fun and cheap, even more so with the gemtech)

Para Ordnance SSP .45 (carry, my trigger, aftec extractor)

Single-stack .45 (built from the frame up, many competitions under it's belt)

Nothing wrong with a Sig. I had an Equinox for a little while. Shame, though, it had a revolver's trigger installed from the factory. It had to go. Great looking pistols, though.

Indeed. Where'd you move to? From? Just need to get people into it. Cheaper way to go than Open. I won't post a pic of my open gun, since there's a million of 'em, and even more people shooting 'em. Limited is really fun, and super competitive.

Note lack of magwell . . . no need for one if you don't need handicaps or ridicule (glock guys, lol)

If you can't get anyone in it, try this: 1)Build an open gun, 2)let a ton of people shoot it, 3)Let them shoot a single-stack gun, 4) tell them to either shoot a $1K+ gun or a $3k+ plus gun in competition = equals increase in single stack shooters :D

Big price difference in guns, as well as loading .38 super and .45

Looks good! Diggin' the over-all look. Hows she shoot?

well I started when I was a kid in various ranges in south fl. After I enlisted I found a place when I was up in washington state, but when I got to north caralina there wasnt anything near by. I just moved to orlando from miami, I'm sure there's places around here, just have to look around.

Action is super smooth. Shoots better than I can hold. The nitron coating is holding up well under concealed carry use.
I did have to replace the mags after 500 rounds, but Checkmate replaced them for free.
