You don't need no stinking rivet gun. Just use some self tapping screws that what I did and the are holding just fine. Of course I just ordered two sets of hood mounts to use with my Audi hatch shocks that I got but they worked. :D

Lol that's by my house. Went to see about getting a stereo for the taco! I didn't even see it at first. My gf said I'm surprised you didn't park next to that white Tacoma, then I looked and it was yours lol

Yeah, not a bad idea. And actually they did come with rivets and self tapping "high strength" screws for mounting fender brackets. I was surprised to find out that the 4runners have the hood lifts from the factory. What's up with some of the cool stuff being left off of the Tacomas? ("premium" JBL option sucks in the Tacoma compared even to the 4runner system!)

Yeah I knew about that as my wife has a 2003 runner. I think they were on there because the grill is attached to the hood making a holding rod harder to place. But regardless it would have been nice to have on our trucks. I got the Audi hatch shocks for free (which is most of the cost on the Redline units) so I just needed the mounts. A bit of overkill for me. Those hatch shocks are rated to hold up the rear hatch of a car with more weight. My hood is a bit hard to pull down now but at least it will never fall on me while I am working under the hood. :D

It always takes 2-3 years for the Tacomas to get the 4Runner technology. Things like ATRAC, new engines, etc.

Anyone know the guy in Northglen/Thornton with the solid rear window in his Double Cab? It looks after market. I was wondering if his window broke, etc?

Also saw a white Double Cab with Texas plates and TW.com sticker on Santa Fe.

"so posed," makes more sense when you say it, than when it is typed.

    NVM I can't read.

the truck is my daily driver so if I drove to denver I would have to do all the work there. Thats not a problem for me but could be an inconvenience for others...

I have the expo pack. It's great because of the increased load capacity. I don't know much about the Dakars, but if it's OME it's probably softer.

I don't have the u-flip, but I know a lot of people who do. IIRC it works with the expo pack.
