I had some that did kind of like that before and stopped using it. You should tie off to the main part of the handle bar. If you look right by your controls they are not one piece handle bars. When I use to race and trailered it around everywhere, I broke the end off once (prolly just abuse to the ends not the tie downs fault). Your bike but to be safe I would tie in closer like stated before.

Those are handlebar strap clamps made to do just that. It is, in my opinion, the most effective way to support the bike without causing damage.

Nope. I'd say he strapped that bike just as he should. No damage will come to it as it is.

I did the same when transporting my sport bike from CA to PA.

So I just sold my 02 zx6r yesterday because I want a different bike. It wasn't very nimble compared to my buddies 09 r6. I think the wheel base was too long and felt really top heavy. Thinking a newer cbr600rr. I'd get a newer zx6r again, but you think the handling improved drastically? Not looking for an r6 because I'd rather have torque than huge high rpm power. For twisty roads what would be a really sweet 600? Do all the new bikes handle as good as the new r6? For the time being I'm ripping around on my ex500 that I can get to corner better than my 02 zx6r ever would, but want the stability and power of a 600 again.

The throttle grips are only held on by the switch housing and a dowel pin. Handlebar straps go on the handlebars closer to the tree, as noted before. Just because you have made it without problems doesn't mean you won't

So basically, you think your cool, because you know how to hand another guy a wrench when he asks for one. Got it.

This is a truck forum with sub forums. Try to quit being such a dumbass from now on please. Your the kind of guy that makes other people hate getting on forums.

01 1000. great bike, want a newer (smaller and lighter) bike, but no time to ride anyway. just put a new 520 setup with driven -1, +2, ek chain, power commander, full Ti Force exhaust, brake system off a 929, minor motor work. just use it to hit the back roads, but its a monster on the highway also
