I want to try downhill like that, usually it's tied into my regular mt. bike riding. This looks serious check out www.diablofreeridepark.com. I have looked at about 10 videos and they look like lots of fun.

Backs are a bitch - hope yours gets straightened out. Keep us posted. My tin foil bumper is beat up from zero mph hits - surprised to see yours isn't worse then it is. What bumper replacement are you going for ?

I ride there. So does Mark (SR54x4)
I would strongly suggest not riding your own bike there unless you have a downhill bike. even a good cross country mountain bike will get destroyed.
I use their rentals because they are really good and I dont need to worry about fixing them at the end of the day. Also need a full face helmet which you can rent from them as well. and pads are a very good idea (also rentable).
I think last year I was paying like $130 for a day, including bike rental and lift ticket. Its fun as hell but there are some really serious trails there.

Mark and I were talking about setting up a Stokes wheeling/ camping trip and go to diablo for a day, and anyone who doesnt want to ride can just hit the water park instead. Could be a real fun weekend.
