DOT, if I was looking at new leafs, I would be looking in to Alcans. Specifically, since you are comparing extra load leafs to flexy leafs that have the option for an add-a-leaf.

Alcan - Support Colorado, Full Leaf Pack, Custom Made (just ask them for an extra 1/2" in the hight of the truck)

I have the U-Bolt Flip Kit from All-Pro. Easy install, added clearance.

Yep, I really want to do some custom Alcans with the ATO shackle flip (when it is released.) Then top it off with the U-Bolt flip and some custom shocks.

    That is my dream setup.

    Bone stock for now!
I have the Alcan's and an all pro flip kit as well and i like them they sat a little low but they ride nice and flex well. I think camburg and all pro use them for their springs anyway.

A small handful of select mods.
I just got the Expo Springs from All Pro and like them so far. Interesting that you say that All Pro uses Alcan for their springs. If that is the case then you might as well get the All Pro's DOT they are cheaper then an Alcan set up and apparently the same thing. They look like Alcan's.

I have had the U bolt flip for a couple of years now. If you go with the Expo springs the flip kit is a must because of the pack size. Either that or you need new U bolts. Also the flip kit doesn't have any mounting on it for bump stops. So I had to weld the stock stops onto the plates. They were too short with the AAL from Toytec but now with the expo pack are just right.

There are holes in the top of the U-Bolt flip kit. I ended up tapping these holes and bolting down the stock bump stop. If you spend a little extra and get the flip kit ready for the bump stop they sell then the holes come tapped already.
