    i know what DFW is. he was talking the airport at dallas, hence the DFW airport code reference. i had the unfortunate time of being stationed 2 1/2 hours west of FW for 2 1/2 years.

    I had gone through all the pre req. been accepted, completed medical, about to sign forms for 5 years paid education and be shipped off to basic training. I was going to be a power engineer for a navy destroyer of some kind, operating the engine room. 4 days before I was supposed to leave I got offered the job of a lifetime making 3x as much money... Sometimes I wish i woulda joined though, the whole life experience thing

    DFW stands for both the airport and two cities that areinching their way into one giant clusterfuck.

    nope, Dyess AFB...abilene, tx. about 1-1 1/2 hours north of goodfellow. only thing that was nice is that it was right on I-20, so conveinent to leave texas.

    i had a great time in (still in, but not active duty), but the locales are sometimes lacking.
