How do you save money for mods?

I have been trying to save money any way I can for mods. Decided to start saving our aluminum cans since we drink a lot of soda's. Anyway, have 1 1/2 trash bags full of crushed cans so far, just wondering how much to expect per lb? I know it wont be much, but this along with any other savings I've been coming up with will eventually add up. Trying to come up with anything I can to put together more mod money, any ideas?

I get $20 per day i work for my truck and i set it aside then do what ever with it when i find something i want to do or need.

 

How about stop drinking soda and put that money aside. It's better for you and your mod fund.

 

honestly saving cans is kind of a waste of time. you dont get shit for them. i was saving my cans i had like 6 bags full and i spent like the same ammount of gas getting there..

I get paid at the end of the month. I pay my bills, pay my credit cards off, pay the truck payment, pay my student loan, put some in savings, put some in retirement, then take what's left and buy some truck shit.

 

Might have to dump the g/f if you got one. Just an idea

I just figured anything I can make/save on the side can go towards the truck w/o pulling from "our money" and that way my wife cant really say anything about it if I can save enough. She says I can go ahead and buy stuff for the truck and doesn't have a problem with it, but I dont think she has an idea just how much I want to do. She has already made comments (jokingly) about me getting too many ideas from TW and says I should stay away.

 

Oh, and thought it might be a good thread to help give each other ideas how to come up with more ways to save for mod money.
