don't waste your money on that single din and buy a double din. there are many double din options out there at the same price range as the jvc unit.

and you use the search function before asking which double din to buy.

If you have an ipod I would go with a double din that has an ipod interface...it makes it so much more convenient to play music. Besides imo double dins have a very clean look and single dins tend to look very cheap but that's just my 0.02

i think most people would not waste their time with this deck because our tacomas have the ability to run double din/ single din flip out or a regular single din. the flip out or double use a more conventional square screen vs. a long horizontal screen. plus you can find double din and single din flip outs with the same features and more.

what are your wants/needs or requirements for your headunit and a price range?

Don't let these guys tell you to not get a single DIN.

I have a single DIN JVC in my 2011 and dig it. The pocket underneath is where my usb cable hides, and my iphone hides. Unless you're wanting navigation and DVD, stick with a single DIN- cheaper and gets the job done just fine.

    I have a pioneer avh-p4200dvd

Get what you want, but if you're gonna be spending all that money on the deck, why not get your money's worth? full touch screen ipod control, i have a 12v relay hooked up to mine so i can watch movies anytime of day. ipod cable is running into my glove box.

a hundred times better than any single din i've ever owned.

the deck he wants is a dvd deck. you still can hide wires with a double din

    x2

you can always sell your single din install kit or buy a single din flip out and reuse your current install kit.

I've got a KD-AVX77 its a good stereo, nice sound quality, kinda interesting to watch movies on but I don't watch too many movies so it's perfect for me. I'll see if I can get some pics.

I prefer single din. I dont need all that fancy bullshit that comes with a DD. As long as it plays music and sounds good, im happy.
