Added extra awesomeness to its original awesomeness.
Thats the problem today, you aren't allowed to deck little brats so they grow up thinking they can do whatever they want.

When are people going to learn this? If you are truly doing nothing wrong, the video will show it, just do what they say.

    Can't say it any better!

Here's the thing... it's not just cops... Most PEOPLE are douche bags!
So of course, if the majority of people are douche bags, then the majority of most any group will be douche bags.

Just look at this site! Whole bunch of douche bags on here. HELL I might be one of them!

But seriously. There are good and bad in any group. But the good don't get on the nightly news because they did their job and all went well.

I'd say my opinion of cops originated when I was 15 when 3 friends and I were in a park on our bmx bikes. We were all stopped sitting on our bikes outside of the indoor swimming pool just BSing about whatever. A cop car pulls up (apparently another group of kids was reportedly drinking in the park) and 2 cops get out and approach the 4 of us, we just sit there because we had done nothing wrong. Without a word said by anyone, one cop grabs me by the back of my shirt, pulls me off my bike shoves me to the ground and starts patting me down. None of us had a beverage of any kind, the cops said they were looking for kids drinking in the park, he didn't apologize for wrecking my shirt or throwing me to the ground for no reason and leaves the park without even looking the group of kids that were reportedly drinking.

The girl just kicked out of class at a last chance school, then beat the hell out her mother, so the cops were called. The cop was a little brutal, but that girl deserved to have her ass kicked good. She needs some sense knocked into her.

    tacorider11,
Your nasty statement is extremely offensive to me, and most likely the men and women of law enforcement in this country. Over 100 police officers a year are killed in the line of duty every year, serving their communities. Thousands are assaulted/injured also. A very large number of them have already served in the military prior to their police careers.
A life given to the service of others placing their lilves on the line to pr otect their nation and communities. Certainly there are some bad cops, as there is good and bad in all institutions.
PLEASE SHARE WITH US THE UNSELFISH SACRIFICES YOU HAVE MADE TO YOUR COUNTRY AND COMMUNITY SO WE WILL KNOW HOW MUCH WE LACK IN OUR SERVICE

I am sorry to hear this. I can see how that would jade your opinions a bit. As people have said there are bad apples, but an experience with one bad apple shouldn't make you hate apples forever! ;)

I skimmed quickly over the thread but I'll throw in my 2 cents. I couldn't hear what was said, but I'm sure the cop instructed her to stop. My two eyes tell me she was adjusting her shirt for whatever reason. That was more than a shove. That cop chucked that girl effortlessly into the wall. Since perception is 9/10ths of law I see a cop at fault. Again my two cents.

X2- I wasnt really offended, but you make a good point about the ignorance of those most critical of cops.
    *
Interestingly, departments here in south florida have about a 50/1 application to vacancy ratio for police officer jobs. This means that for probably 5000 cops that work in Broward County, almost 250,000 people have applied to become cops here...
    *
Also, Ive spoken to a few psychologists who've told me that most men want to become cops, firefighters or soldiers when they grow up. The majority of men who dont hold one of these jobs applied but was rejected for one reason or another...
    *
Makes me wonder if some of the cop haters out there are just harboring resentment that they couldnt get hired by a PD...

I still disagree with your opinion about police officers. I've had some bad experiences myself, but I'd like to think that people apply for the job to uphold justice.

That said, I appreciate the apology for offending people, and appreciate that you explained yourself. Like I said, I have a different opinion, but I can respect yours (especially because you explained it calmly).

I largely agree with this. I've got so much respect for police because I've had friends injured serving -- and they are damn good people.

I will never understand the make believe world some of you live in... yes you can shoot people in the back of the head. If its a violent felon you can use whatever method necessary to stop them to keep the public safe as a police officer... including shooting them in the back. This has already been ruled on by the Supreme Court. I must ask as I always do when people start spouting off about the law... where did you get your law degree? If you are not a lawyer what is your job that makes you feeln justifeied speaking as an authority on the law as if you know things as fact?

And what is that pray tell?

He used open hands. If he said "stop, police." and nothing else he is perfectly justified in using force of any kind that is not closed handed striking... just becasue she kept walking. Pushing down, tackling down, tripping down, etc. all justified... all taught. I am amazed the department he works for is not backing him. Phoenix mustbe a real chick shit town. Glad I live in Texas.

No, not if they did it to detain her. At least not in a free country.
