So everyone knows theres no such thing as an alcoholic if you're legit still in college. What if you still drink somewhat like you're in college, but you just graduated?... is there like a commonly accepted period of time after college where it still isnt considered alcoholism?

I drink like a fish when I have days off, but i've got a very successful career and can go months without drinking when i'm stuck working every day straight.

It's alcoholism if you NEED a drink versus WANT a drink

I would agree with this give or take. I drank pretty heavily after college and about a year afterwards I noticed I wasn't drinking nearly as much or as often.

Be very careful drinking. I drank like I was in college for years then very quickly it started fucking up my whole life. Job, realationships, health, finances...If you ever find yourself drinking in the morning to get rid of a hangover, run like fuck and never look back at it.

I'm a phase kinda person, some times i'm in a phase i'll listen to rock, sometimes hip hop, some times techno, sometimes i'll go on a 4 days non stop drinking binge, sometimes I wont drink for months at a time.

Thats life, just make sure you rule it, and it doesn't rule you

Not me, I was a big drinker for most of my life. Going back to high school, even middle school. I drank for a long time just to party, then it turned into drinking beers on the week days just to catch a little buzz before I went to sleep. For the last 2-3 years I was an everyday drinker, about a $40-$50 a day habit. More days then not I would be so hungover that I would go to the liquor store right when it opened at 10AM and grab 3-4 airplane bottles of rumple minze or 99 bananas. I finally quit cold turkey 5 months ago and have NEVER felt better. I will never have a drink again, but if you can ENJOY it, I just was/am not a moderation type of person. When I do shit I DO it.

If you order a drink and go to pick it up as its hitting the table in front of you,you might have a problem.

You know if you have a problem , then you either choose to deal with it , or you choose to ignore it .

I think it's sad to see how heavily kids drink in college. There is seriously nothing they would rather do than drink EVERY night of the week. This is coming from a current college student, with friends and family in college right now.

That ^. After a year, you're allowed to get shitfaced 5 times a year, until you're 30. Then you can only get shitfaced 2 times a year from then on; choose your holidays wisely.
