Hey guys, this is my first post. Thought i would do a review on my first mod

I installed my black headlights from Revotec (ebay) last week. You get what you pay for!! They fitment was a little off where the grill slides down into the lights, but i managed to make it fit. They havent leaked or fogged and it rained pretty good while i was driving the other day, so thats a plus. There is a little bit of chrome showing through where i guess China did the BHLM:rolleyes: Also, the light output/distribution is very shitty compared to the OEMs. Even after my OCD headlight aiming process.

I had done the bhlm on my RSX about a year ago and they turned out really good until the summer heat got to them. I guess it was the fumes from the black paint that made the lens fog.

My next mod is going to be some 35w 5000k HIDs to improve the light output. Im going to go with Digital Brand, sold but RetroSolutions.

Icon Coilovers, Downsouth UCAs, rear Icon "2.5" shocks and Toytec single AAL. Still gotta do exhaust, dark headlights and re-gear the rear diff.
I'm looking to buy black lights also, but they are from meautopart. But meautopart set seems to have the amber sections slightly mixed up according to their pics, whereas, revotec seems to have dead accurate amber locations.

I'd copy and paste links to each but this F'n iPad won't let me.

Anybody else notice these subtle amber differences between these lights on eBay? The meautopart (less accurate light) set are 20 bucks cheaper.

What sold me was the Eagle Eyes brand name. Most junk you get off ebay doesn't even have a brand name or it's just generic. At least these do have "Eagle Eyes" etched in the headlight along with a model number. I would guess many body shops use this same light as an OE replacement.

Those look sweet on your truck. Let us know if you have any problems with them getting condensation on the inside.

There are a couple hot spots where the light is very concentrated in some areas. Other than that, worth the money.

Black headlights look 10x better than chrome. I'm sure you'll be happy, even with a chrome grill.

You'll be painting your chrome grille. It will look out of place.

I have a 2005 and am thinking of getting these. How hard were/are they to put in? Do they have to be modified? How long is the process?

    Thanks.

I've had mine on for a little over a year and so far they've held up pretty well,no leaks (gone through the car wash a few times as well as pressure washing after playing in the mud)
