    i just got home from the shop they told me for install would be $500-$1200 and 12-20hrs installing.
    He got me a quote on a lift kit to im gonna get somemore info on the lift it was $750 for a 3" suspension lift with new shocks all the way around and leafsprings.

    He's lieing. I had no mechanical experience and it took me and my buddy (also no experience) 8 hours to replace my front coilovers and UCAs in my parking garage without fancy "mechanics" tools. Just jacked it up, socket set, etc... No impact wrench, no big, high lift - nothing. And we goofed off a bit too! :)

    He's taking advantage of you.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    i did it by myself in a shop w/ a lift and tools and it maybe took me a total of 6-8 hours and tht was the first time i had taken apart the front end of these trucks...someone is after some money

    both... on AND off road, upgraded shocks will ride better. aftermarket UCA will be able to get the alignment within factory spec. I think you'll also get an extra 1" of downtravel with TC UCAs, but that would have to be confirmed...
