Looking at getting the Bak Flip F1 for my 2011 DC SB, but I also want the tool box that you can gt with them. Notice that its only for the long beds now...does anyone thing/know if they will come out with a short bed version?

    Thx

I believe it should work with short or long. It's not integrated with the cover itself and since the width is the same I don't see why it would make any difference.

Having said that I have not actually bought the toolbox yet :) but do have the short bed F1

Won't work with SB because of the wheel wells going all the way up to the cab. Even states it on their website. I am just wondering when/if they will come out with a version for the SB version.

    Thx

How long ago was that....cheapest now is anywhere from 800-1000.
Do you remember the dealer you bought from, and how was the service and product condition?

    Thx

BakFlip makes three plus different tonneau covers, G2, HD and F1, all three same type design, just different materials used to make them.

I found this info on the Bakflip site.

    Quick Overview
The BakBox RS is the 1st collapsable cargo/toolbox that snaps onto the rails of any BakFlip tonneau cover. When the BakBox RS is placed anywhere on the existing BakFlip rails, nobody will even know that it's there. The BakBox RS is ergonomic, practical, efficient, and exceptionally well designed.

    *NOTE*
Colorado/Canyon, Frontier, and Tacoma 5 foot beds; The BAKBox RS will not fit behind the cab. However, it will fit towards the back of the bed.

I went to the MVPautoparts website and it appears they only sell the G-2's?

Yes it will fit the short box. The instructions that came with mine say to mount it behind the wheel arches in your case. Have to say it was easy to install and works well in my long box.

    Hope that helps.
