Okay - got them aligned finally. They're dead on. So much better.

    Good news and bad news...

Good - they are aligned properly, and are even more kick ass.

Bad - Apparently the small locking tab on the inside of the alignment washer on the projectors has broken off. Meaning that the bulbs cannot be removed. Basically when I try to loosen the bulb nut, the entire projector spins as well - since there is nothing for it to bear down on. Not the end of the world, when the time comes for bulb replacement, I'll have to bake the headlight, remove the cover, and hold the projector from the other side while I loosen the nut. Whatever.

2nd Bad - In my moment of infinite wisdom of starting a project at 8 O'clock - I put the small radiator filler piece, (goes between the bottom of the headlight assy. and the bumper) on my tailgate - which just happened to be down.

Got the headlights all mounted back in place, except left the grille off so I could adjust the projector level if need be. Drove off to the flat parking lot down the road to ensure the alignment is correct.

*Remember, my tailgate was down with the filler piece, that part is integral to the story*

Come home. Notice tailgate is down. Hear cracking noise in the middle of the road. Fawk. Needless to say, the piece fell of the tailgate and is now cracked and not useable.

    Lessons learned:

    Chinese metallurgy kind of sucks.
Don't leave important things on your tailgate.
There is a reason why this project is called a "retrofit".

Just checked ToyoDIY.com, part is $35.00. Will call stealership tomorrow to see how far I'll be bending over. Oh yeah, and the movers are coming to get all of my stuff on Tuesday. Moving to Washington.

    Rant over.

Passenger side looks alright. Driver side you need to rotate your projector clockwise a few degrees.

Yeah, you want the cut-off line to be perfectly parallel to the ground.

Armor: ARB Bull Bar, Rocktek rear bumper and custom rock sliders. Other: Rigid Industries LED Light Bar, Platinum DieHard Battery, BlueSea Fuse Block, rear lights, bed lights, leds inside.

    A couple of tips....here.

    1. Put some glue on the projector towards the front....I use Automotive Goop (one big dab on the top, bottom and the sides). The Gatling Gun shrouds don't come with the mounting ring like the Apollos so that is why it feels loose. I think you can also you silicone......Matt has mentioned LG Premium or something like that from Lowes.

    2. I would also take the time to get ride of all the grey sealant that is on the headlight housing and replace with some 1/4 inch 3M window weld. It will cost you about $20 at the parts store but well worth it.....you want to prevent leaks and foggin. I would also put some around where the Daytime Running light goes.......TRS sells something similar at a cheaper price.

    3. Take the time to align your projector (especially if you messed around with the Bowl) while the shroud and lense are off. This way you know you can align your lights.
