I searched, and im still confuse on which tailgate lock fits the 2011. I want the powered kind.

whats more reliable pop n lock or dynolock?

some locks come with the handle and others without?

I already have the backup camera so i guess the one that comes with just the locking mechanism is best for me right?

    please help...

I'm pretty sure the Dynolock is all inside the tailgate and works with your power locks and the existing handle cover is used. The pop and lock is a replacement tailgate cover, I've seen threads that these were weak.

i have herd that the pop and lock is no good, you can use a paper clip to unlock it and then the gate is gone,i used a hose clamp that works great and it is secure on my 2011 tacoma

You probably want to lock stuff in your bed, so the hose clamp wont work. That just prevents someone from stealing your tailgate by put a metal hoseclamp around the part of the tailgate that pivots.

Going on 2 years with a Dynolock on my '09 with camera. Works great. I also have the hose clamp mod for extra protection.

the dynolock works great on my 2011 w/back up camera, but like just about everyone else a little triming of the guide block on the lock is needed to get the right positioning of the lock. it is realy quick and easy to do. haveing the dynolock is like haveing a auto trunk release on a car just hit the unlock twice and the tailgate is open its sweet.

That Dynolock power lock looks great......I used to have the hose clamp until it started to rust 2 months later. I picked up THIS for my 2011 Tacoma and it works fantastic and should last much longer than a $2 hose clamp. It's the best official looking option I've seen.

It should work fine with the Dynolock and the Popnlock both are wired into the power door lock system and operate just like the doors.

Can't speak about the manual version be we are talking about the power lock inside the tailgate. So I fail to see how you could unlock it with a paper clip.

How do you guys order the Dynolock? Their website seems to be FUBAR'd for me. I can get to the point where I confirm the order, but it just keeps putting me back to the same page.
