Man I really want the trd but I would rather have the deeper sound with my wicked flow exhaust is this really that much deeper than the trd?

I dont go offroad I dont race I just want my truck to look good and sound good...I thought my exhaust sounded good with no intake upgrade but which would be better this or trd...if this will make it deeper/louder ill buy it asap...and im getting married in a week...idc if she likes it or not haha

Put it this way, the 2nd gen TRD intake isn't very good. If your just going for sound go for the K&N. I have a URD one but I bought a 1st gen TRD one because I'm planning on buying a TRD S/C.

so wait wait your telling me the trd for 2nd gen is not what i
thought it was...man i have been looking at them for some while now thinking they would really do something for my truck and I did alot of searches but if k&n is the where the sound is thats what im lookin for. performance is really not a thing for me just looks and sound

I've haven't installed my TRD 1st gen yet so I can't tell you how it sounds like. For sound wise my URD intake is amazing... but since your not an X runner and probably drive it through puddles and do some off roading I think the K&N would be fine. There are probably sound clips on Youtube of the K&N. As for the TRD 2nd gen I heard it throws off the AFR ratios and doesn't add much power.

like I said tho im not into power...speeding...offroading...just riding around with a nice sounding/looking truck and since my wheels and tires get plenty of comments I want my exhaust a little deeper to compensate lol
