    I've had mine for 6 months and it's the first manual I've driven. I wasn't totally convinced at first, but lately I have been loving it!

    5 spd FTW way better than an Auto anday, although i would like to see a 6spd of some sort in the 1st gens to see the differences in RPM on the interstate

    meh. R155 is aight. tough transmission, stupid as hell gearing though. first and second are WAY to far apart. shift action is decent, little clunky, but its a truck so it really doesn't matter.

    I agree, but second should be closer. 2nd is geared too high for turns at low to moderate speeds.

    Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
    Amsoil severe gear smooths out the shifts noticeably. I agree that 2nd gear is too high. I either bog or bark when cornering:( Otherwise I'm happy with 5spd. I will be going to a LC Engineering dual composition clutch when this one is done.

    After I thought about it, I realized that the tall reverse gear kinda bugs me. Pretty much have to feather the clutch in reverse - otherwise you're backing up at what seems like over 5mph.
