I've had a couple Tacos in the past and I still have a '94 4x4 pickup I drive to work every day. Bought my first Taco (95) brand new at Jim Barkley Toyota in Asheville, NC. It was the first one they ever sold as far as I know. Black regular cab V-6 5 speed - Loaded! Man, that was an awesome truck! Just bought a white 2011 double cab Sport 4x4 for my wife this past November (from Jim Barkley). She'll never be off-road much, so nothing major planned for this one (yet) - she just wants it to "look good". Gonna level the front this weekend and install a set of 285/70/17 Terra Grapplers. Already tinted the windows. Thinking about Plasti dipping the emblems and going with a set of black wheels of some kind in the future. I've got a set of KMC XD 122 Enduro's on my 94 and love them.

I've looked around on the site, and there looks to be a lot of good info here!

    Thanks !

Hello and welcome to TW. There is a small chance you may rub with 285/75/16's. How much lift will that spacer kit give you?

Should be 3" with this one in the front - and the rear spring TSB. Tires are 32.7", so there is a chance of a little rub if it's turned really deep or flexing a little. Had the same trouble with her last vehicle - 07 Xterra 4x4. She was never off-road with it either, except for the NC Coast (on the beach). Thanks for the heads-up !! We'll check it out and post back.

You said "level" which lead me to think you were just getting a level kit. lol Yeah you should be fine with a 3" spacer kit. I am pretty sure you won't have a problem rubbing as well.

I say skip the leveling kit and go with 5100's in the front and a aal in the rear. Will dif make for a better ride. I've heard a lot of bad things bout spacers bro. Welcome to TW, where you'll dif get a lot of good help. Send some pic of ur rides soon

I say skip 5100's out front and aal out back. Instead go with some aftermarket CO's with a beefy spring set.

I've got the 3 inch in my 09 with 33x11.50. The only time they rub on mine is with the wheel cut all the way goin in reverse.

Here's a couple shots of the Taco with the leveling kit and the new 285 Terra Grapplers installed. Slight bit of rub on the inside front with wheels cut deep as they'll go. Now I gotta go get the TSB done.
