Installed bed mat and next week will add anchor hooks to the bed bolts at front and middle.
Like to know if anyone has installed the new anchors thru a drilled hole in the bed mat, wedding it at each point. Wondering if I do this, will there we enough bolt thread left to ensure bed is still secure to frame.

I have seen people cut out a square in the bedmat and install anchor this way.
But haven't seen any securing the bed mat this way. I guess I could get longer bolts too.

    Thx

    Under 80..because?
You think the bed would actually come off? I would hope not with the aft bolts still sitting untouched. Securing the bedmat under the anchors would add less than an inch. Could probably find a bolt thats about an inch longer to replace them..I think.

Sounds like an idea, but that wouldnt stop anyone from taking it.
Goal is to make it secure from stealing it.

I never gave it a though, bedmat being stolen. Read this post last night. I went fishing today and parked next to another Tacoma. I looked in the back of his truck, no bedmat. All I could think of while fishing is he is going to steal my mat! Glad he didn't!! I am definately going to secure it somehow.
