    First..yes I did search..now I am asking..thx
Looking for a toolbox that doesn't sit on the bed rails. My truck is strickly street and like to keep the clean look to it..so no toolbox sticking out over the top of the bed.
Haven't seen to many anywhere, but looking for advise (pics) and where to get one.

    Thx

To be more specific...looking to sit just below the bed rail height (have Bak cover), must sit on the wheel wells and be as deep as the bottom of the truck bed or slightly above the bed, and be no wider then 12" (like to keep some usable space in the bed)

    Suggestions?

    Thx

you could always go for the bakbox but in my opinion its too pricey for something thats not easily removable spur of the moment if you have it filled with stuff.

Bak box is what I actually want, but website states it wont fit in the SB trucks.
STOL waiting to hear back from Bak on this. From the pics, it looks like it would sit right on the wheel well with no issues, but not buying till I know for sure.

    Thx

    Heard that, but hoping.
Also looking at one of those trailer tongue (v-shaped) boxes. Looks like it would sit nicely between the wheel wells and not take up as much room as a regular box.

yeh i was thinking one of those too but those are so expensive. there was someone on here trying to get a metal box groupbuy going. i forgot what company was going to custom make it but it was specifically for under tonneau covers but i think the GB fell through due to price. Right now i just bought a plastic chest type trunk at walmart for $18.00. does the job and for under twenty bucks you can't beat it. until i fine a nice metal box that fits good i'll wait. was thinking of even building one myself out of wood and just waterproofing it with sealant and paint and it would be custom to what i want on it like compartments and stuff. but no time right now. just ideas
