Oh Cool. That will be Sweet! You already probable know about them, but check out this website... http://www.ststurbo.com/uni This link is for a universal turbo made by Squires Turbo Systems. I am thinking of it as well... maybe after I pay off the truck. What do you think?

my buddy has a few smaller turbos laying around that are barely used if they are at all, so i'll end up picking one up from him. a muffler shop i used to work at can bend any metal pipes i need too. as far as waiting until it's paid off, i'm not waiting another 40 months haha, but the warranty is kind of hindering me from pursuing this quickly. i already have a shit-ton of miles on the truck, bought it May07 and i have almost 14k already from work and whatnot...but a remote turbo may be easier to remove if i need to take it in for something. i was also thinking about a procharger kit, just for the pure reliability of a supercharger without any problems of a turbo but i dont think that they themselves make a kit for our trucks yet, but i have seen kits that include everything and a procharger centrifugal blower

I definately see what you are saying about warranty concerns. I was really wanting to get a hold of a TRD Supercharger and have Toyota install it in house to retain my warranty. On the other hand, everyone I have talked to who has a turbo vs a TRD Supercharger has been really satisfied. And as to the couple of races that i have seen (and I am talking about the 3.4 motor) the Supercharger was ahead at the bottom, but after about 50 or so the Turbo flew past the Supercharger.
oh, and I should be able to pay off my truck in 1 year, so that will give me time to either think about it, find a turbo, or for TRD to get their butts in gear.
oh, check this out! Some dude on eBay is selling his STS Turbo for our truck. check it out. I will get an item number on here when I can.

yea i'll take a look at it. as far as my knowledge goes about turbo vs. supercharger, i street raced for 4 years so far, with my cobra and my wrx which are quite opposite from eachother. a supercharger is an easy installation, relatively little maintennance, and a little bit cheaper. the problem is that they take power to turn the blowers, even if they are a roots or centrifugal. the turbos are driven by exhaust gases so while there is a slight lag, especially with a larger turbine, it more than makes up for it once the boost hits. a properly sized turbo is the key to a perfect setup, which is why i'll be using a small one. my truck redlines at 5500 so i can't afford to have boost lag until 3000rpm. a small turbo should hit starting at 2000
