then you are vey lucky. they have pissed off alot of people by not backing one of their "new and improved, redesigned" ranger kit that is failing on people left and right.

they havent changed anything to their tacoma kit, but then again Tacomas were never their money maker. camburg has always focused primarily on their race ranger and ranger kits... thats how they started. but now they are moving on to trophy trucks and leaving alot of their customers hanging in the wind.

Four effing phone calls later, someone finally picked up the phone at Camburg. Bushing kit is $36 and uniballs are $60 each. Assuming the kit for sale is the one with uniballs in the lower control arm that's $400 in replacement parts worst case.

Still on the fence. This whole being an adult thing and having priorities is annoying :notsure:

IDK man... at that point (cost of kit and replacement parts) you could just get a TC kit and be a 110% happy man...

but yeah, being a responsible grown up sucks.

i replaced the bushings when i put the kit on because they were shot. uni balls the original owner replaced when he took the kit off. since putting on the kit i havent had to replace either the uni balls or bushings. both are still good, but i'm going to upgarde all my bushings to the TC nylatron bushings in a few months for better handling.

i doubt yours need to be replaced. do your uniballs have play in them?

I would buy new, no surprises that way....hopefully. I bought a used TC kit a couple months ago and I spent 600 bucks on replacement parts and now I have broken even with getting a new kit. I replaced all the hardware uniballs bushings and misalignment spacers, along with brake lines and other crap and I can say Its really not worth it to save a couple hundred bucks..

    Thanks man.

For now I'm planning on it, but it's really too far away for to say yes or no for sure. You going to Huckfest in June?

I'd check your steering rack bushings first (if you haven't already). My steering was pretty whacked out and the bushing kit from Wheelers fixed that right up. Uniballs can be loud. When mine got loud I just cleaned them up real good and gave them a healthy coat of Triflow and problem solved.

yeah, like jason said, check your rack bushings first... hell, dont even check them just replace them with the TC kit or the one from wheelers.

uniballs making noise is very normarl, also bushings make a ton of noise... thats prob where the majority of your squeaks come from, not the uni balls

i used to have the wheelers kit, it was good. i just switched to the TC kit and i like it better. it's a stiffer urethane compound than the wheelers kit... better for trucks with LT

also, did you see these zach???

    That's cause you're a TC snob! :p

The wheelers kit was a HUGE improvement over factory. I had so much play in my steering before it was rediculous. I can't speak the TC kit, but Matt has never steered me wrong (*cough cough no pun intended). Zach I'm sure you'll be happier either way.

As for the spindles...does anyone have a napkin? :jerkoff:

if they are so busy then they can afford to hire some more help around the shop to check their super full email box... 3 weeks to respond to an email is BS...

i've email TC a few times and always had a response by the end of the day.

    i know, i know... i'm a TC snob :D haha

Right now...neither. I was pretty gung ho on getting the front LT done by summer and the used Burg kit I found was looking very promising. However my division of the company I work for just got sold last week. The responsible adult in me says I'm not dropping any more money into any of my hobbies until I'm confident in my job situation again.

Thank goodness I'd already started the paperwork on my new Sig before all this happened and the wife can't bitch that I have another gun. I keep telling her I'm just preparing. :D

Never shot one but seen em before. Handheld canon. I think it's the only pistol you could actually get away with putting a sling on. :D
