Something in or around my transmission is intermittently grinding... I am thinking maybe the throw out bearing is the cause.

Problem is, I am out of the first warranty, all I have is the powertrain, and this can be considered a wear item, but I will have to throw a fit that a tranny should last more than 36k miles.

Any idea when you are no longer allowed to buy the extended warranty? I am thinking, if it is something expensive, I can ask if it would have been covered under the extended warranty, then buy the one from that one dude on the forums here for 800 bucks or whatever it was.

If I do have to buy something from toyota, I am thinking of looking aftermarket and just going to a shop... if they aren't gonna cover it, fuck em.

It happens to street-driven trucks as well. From the factory Toyota didn't lubricate the alignment cams before installing them in the LCAs. Well worth taking an hour or two to jack up your truck, pull the cams, lube stuff up, and reinstall for the peace of mind.

    Hahaha yea seriously
yea that's good for me, how's everyone else feel about that? Anyone coming from the north (mark) can meet us on the road to the trails, anyone coming from the south can meet at the quick chek since it's on the way for us anyway

Yea come on mike, when are you gonna come wheeling with us?

Still busted up. I did a number on my skidplates and bumper support at Rausch Creek and need to get that stuff cleared up. I got the new door on but have to trace a wire break in the passenger side door window control before reassembling the interior. I also have to do something with the shattered bedside.

It's really only about a day or two of work. Just need to find the time for it.

Oh yeah, I don't think I've mentioned anything about this yet. I'm buying a house in Howell and the closing is scheduled for late next month. Been eating into my Taco time and funds but it'll be worth it after the move. :)
