I have myself a Rugged Trail Edition 08 with the black fenders and black wheels.

Just before I put on the All Pro Off-Road Sliders

I have a new hood with scoop but ordering the plastic pieces from a dealer.
The question is the color of plastic hood insert; should I go with the factory color of the hood, go flat black, go glossy black, (The grill inside the scoop is going to stay black.)

I figure black might be good, just to follow the two tone color scheme. (at first I didn't like it much but it really grew on me.)

    What do you think?

I have a friend who owns an autobody repair shop. He got it for me brand new for $250, directly from Toyota. He color matched the paint for me also. He's been doing the labor and I've been paying the parts at cost. I do free computer work for him all the time so thats why I'm not getting jacked. The insert is going to cost me $135 (If I went to the dealer myself, I'd be paying $265 for just the plastic pieces.)

Now that's a nice friend. I've been getting quotes from anywhere to $530 to over $700 for all of the parts, and that doesn't include painting the hood.

That one is my brother's. He has a 09 sport with the long bed.

    Ok, I'm going flat black.

I was thinking chrome also but it might be too much bling.
I'm going flat black just like you guys said, to match the fenders.

    Thx guys.
