Alabama thread!

I might have seen you. I was there from about 4:15 - 5:45 on Friday. The group I went with should be back there tomorrow grilling out food for people, but I wont be able to go because I have to work.

 

We got power back up today. Hope everybody is alright.

On a much lighter note, the truck got to gadget for supercharging. Thanks Brian and Paul for helping me out!

Anything I can do for any of my Alabama brothers just saw the word. I'm only a few hours south in Mobile and would be willing to make a drive or meet you somewhere if you needed some supplies or ANYTHING. I'll be honest, I had know idea it was that bad, and have not really been following this. You need it, just say the word, and I'll do my best to help. I will start praying daily for you guys.

 

well mom went back to work today. now im just waiting to go back. tornado got it pretty good.

 

If you are wanting to help, check out www.toomers4tuscaloosa.com Its a highly orchestrated relief effort with information about places in your area that you can donate or volunteer. For being run by a few individuals, its amazing how powerful it is. They are especially strong on facebook.

 

gave blood, sent supplies, donated a bunch, and helped gather donations. I wish I could make a drive up there to help the physical relief effort, but the stay at home things do just as good.

I got my power back close to midnight last night. Didn't get internet again until late this afternoon. Carried my generator to my boss' brothers house. They have 2 younger children, teenager and the parents.

 

That is the same day we are having our North Alabama meet. You guys have a good time.

I'm from Memphis, but work in Fort Payne during the week.

 

Fort Payne isn't real far from me. Do u take 24 to 59 to fort Payne? Or a different way?

If you're asking me, I come from Memphis through Tuscumbia~Scottsboro, then 35 to Rainsville/Ft. Payne. Back when I lived in Cleveland, TN, I would've taken 24 to 59 to get here, though.
