If you have a CB that's ok. I think Bobby has a race radio and CB. I will have both a hand held Motorola radio to talk to CB's and race radio. So we will still be able to talk to everyone. If anyone needs a hand held radio let me know just get AA batteries for it.

I was just wondering if you have been offroading before. yeah you should be good. we got a few 4wd guys.

I'll go check that out because I had no idea a group would be this big. Worst case we'll split up in 2 groups if we see a ranger to avoid a ticket.

Yeah it's going to take forever to get a permit. We would need details of the whole trip too. I say we go with option 2, but who knows we may only be a group of 6 or less.

If you need to justify the cost of the radio, I can tell you mine paid for itself with the people in front of me calling out the ruts and dips, preventing a lot of damage.

i would suggest just splitting up when you see a Ranger... according to the BLM permit request form, you have to secure the permit 10 business days prior to your event weekend...

there is a $100 deposit required and the deposit does not guarantee approval...

at this point in time, just wait and see how many trucks you end up with and go from there...

    establish a caravan order...

you likely won't see any Rangers, but better safe than sorry..

also, forgot to tell Mike that on our last trip, somebody at the campsite accidentally locked the door to the outhouse, so it couldn't hurt to bring a portable toilet seat and shit bags with you...

I hope it won't be a problem if I don't have a race radio. Seems like everyone attending has one :/

No big man. Just see if anyone you know has a hand held 2 way radio so you can talk to the CB's. I think I payed $40.00 for 2 but get a Motorola they have worked the best. I found another one in my camping box if you want to use it just needs 3 or 4 AA batteries.

    ^^ X2

I cannot begin to tell you how much clearer these radios are. You hear the lead drivers the first time, thus preventing major damage due to surprises.
