OK. Today I decided to "Fix" my POS Vaccume. I had to make a couple of tools to get it apart, but I knew it would be a simple repair/ mod.
Ive been working on this off and on ALL F'ING DAY. I got the motor apart, and it was filthy. I sprayed it with electric contact cleaner to clean the dirt off the motor windings. Then I proceeded to remove the bearings, and other stuff. Couriosity got me as to how well this thing blew air, so I took the mess outside and pluged it in. Immediatly there was a flash of lightning, followed by a "POP!" the motor is now burned. wires that once were connected and a pretty "red" color are no longer wires, but rather a blacked mess. Molly is a little frightened. Now I guess I have to vaccume the house with my shop vac. Fortunatly, I have 2. A Large one for the "High traffic" areas, and a smaller 1 gallon for the tight spots. I have to put this vaccume back together before the Wife gets home. Hopfully, she will decide to vaccume this weekend, and she will think SHE broke the vaccume.

Make sure there is a good filter in the shop vac. That thing can make dirt.

A little late. I found the shop vac takes the dirt out of the kitchen, and blows it into the dinning room. Thats where I stopped.

She hid it from me. :(
