    as everybody knows,me and chris debate alot.in a previous thread yesterday,we had an extensive discussion about the weight of my boat.i know my boat is NOT a very big boat at all,but we cannot resolve this debate between ourselfs,and i'm no expert in this field,so thats why i'm asking for your help.he says the boat,motor and trailer(less fuel and gear) weigh 1550 pounds.i'm thinking it all has to be alot more than that,but maybe i'm wrong........so can anybody please help us resolve this????? thanks,james [​IMG]

    I would have to say it is probably more than 1550 w/ the trailer & boat but no more than 2500lbs.

    4.10 gears, sliders, and lots of buttons.
    I never said the boat, motor, AND trailer weigh that, I said the BOAT weighs 1500 or so pounds. READ WHAT I WRITE. And unless bass boats are weighed not including the motor, thats what the manufacture says it weighs. SO.....Throw it on a scale, or pretend it weighs more. Doesnt matter to me.

    Go to your local truck stop and weigh it. Go inside and pay for your weight ticket. Tell them your going to re weight (without the boat) and they will tell you what number you have to tell them at the speaker box outside. Go back inside and pay for the re weight. Now this is the tricky part....subtract the totals and you got your boat weight!


    Don't forget to hook up your boat back up!

    before i EVER posted a second thread on it, i would have yanked that load onto a scale. your local landfill will probably do it for free. say something like, "i have a bet with my wife about the weight of this boat...." they will weight it for free. (man law about men helping men win bets against wives).

    then depending on the results, THEEEENNNN post up a second thread.

    my bro's 20 foot stratos weights alot. a friend's tacoma struggled, but towed it. once.
