What are you covering the outside of the trailer with? Or leaving the wood exposed? Very nice work btw!

thanks, the wood is actually painted already. i did it a sand color, because once i start camping in it, the lighter the color, the cooler it'll stay inside. also going for the more military look, so i'm going to spray some stuff on the side in army green. a good camo paint job was way too labor intensive, so instead i'm just using camo colors. i put the wood inside the frame so it's a little more protected when i take it wheeling.

almost. i've sealed every part of it except the rear doors. when i get back to virginia i'm going to hit up a boat supply shop and geat some marine grade weather stripping kind of stuff that'll really seal off the cracks on either side of the doors when they close.

No pix, but my truck seems to be riding fine. I'm going to need to find a way to get those down travel bump stops bk in though. I'm hearing a lot of noise when the ucas are coming down. Not quite ready for that nightmare yet. Haha. I'm thinking I'm going to get the alignment done today after I play catch up on some HW then plan to do the AALs enxt wk some time.

how bad is the alighment right now? and do you have to drive much this week?

reason I ask, is because it would be better if you could wait to get it alligned until after you do the rear lift.

though minimal, lifting the rear will pivot the truck about the axis of the front hubs. so for example, say you have a little positive camber (looks like this \-/ ) if you then lift the rear of the truck, that turns into negative toe (wheels pointing towards each other). so unless your alignment is literally perfect, a fraction of a degree in one aspect will be translated to another when lifting the rear.

i did my front before the rear, but i waited a couple months to lift the rear, so i had to do the alignment right away, but i did see a change in the numbers when i lifted the rear.

I didn't know that. I plan on doing the rear next week some time bc I'm running a race called Warrior Dash Sunday and I have to drive (my Dad's car, not the tacoma) up to N. Ga Saturday so I won't have time this wkend.

Colin, if you take limbs/leaves from a cabbage palm and spray over them against the trailer, it would be good camo. Use different shades of green and brown camo. It works great. At the huntin camp my bro and I go to, thats what they do :D

yeah, i though about doing that. I used to work at a marina near annapolis as a yacht mechanic, doing just abotu anything to boats, and one guy hired us to do it to his 32 foot fishing boat. it works well and is easy, but i was thinking more along the lines of military style camo if i were to camo the trailer.

if my current ideas fail though, i'll take that route

Do the zebra cars happen to be pawn cars? As in they advertise for a pawn shop?
