Make me feel better about this, please.....

After reading a bunch of threads, I ordered some 265/75R/16 Yokohama Geolander ATs because it sounded like they would fit my 2008 Tacoma 4X4. Now, some dude tells me that Yokohama tires run bigger than other manufacturers, even though the numbers are the same.

He says these tires might rub. Please help me to have a better weekend by telling me that he's full of pooey and that my new tires are NOT gonna rub!!

Seems like any tire called a 265/75R/16 should be the same size as the next, regardless of who makes the tire.

I am running 265 BFG on my 2ng gen with no issues even before my lift. The tires would have a lot bigger!! to be a isssue. I am sure someone will chime in with your tires

It is true though that different manufacturer's tire can be slightly different in size in the same spec .

 

Yeah there can be a little difference between the exact tread sizes and stuff so a bit of difference between the manufacturers tires of the "same" size.
I wouldn't worry about 265s tho...
